There are a couple of piranha plants past here. If you can't find it, don't obsess over it, it isn't in all revisions. In some versions of the game (like the original Duck Hunt combo cart) there is a hidden extra life block over the third block. Past this, there is a row of four question blocks. You'll pass a group of four question blocks (they're just coins, but they're a good way to get high enough to kill Lakitu. ![]() Having Flower Power really makes things easier because of all the spinies. There's a power up right at the beginning. You can also kill Lakitu at high points, but he'll respawn before long. Block.The Yoshi Egg is found in a Hidden Block directly to the right of the first Fire-Bar, and the score to beat is 12000. Deluxe, the player can collect five Red Coins, find a hidden Yoshi Egg, and get a medal based on their score. The fake Bowser also starts throwing hammers. Next is a room containing several Hidden Blocks before the bridge with the fake Bowser, which has a Podoboo jumping up from below and a horizontally moving lift above. After a corridor of Fire-Bars on the ceiling, there is a room with more Fire-Bars placed on both the ceiling and the floor. Afterward is a platform surrounded by Fire-Bars and Podoboos, and with a ? Block containing a power-up above it. The player starts the level on an elevated area with stairs heading downwards, ending at a pit of lava. This level's layout is similar to World 1-4's, though with additional Fire-Bars and Podoboos. ![]()
